The Network Infrastructure Manager will oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's wired and wireless network infrastructure. This role requires a strong technical background and a focus on optimizing network performance, security, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Network Design and Implementation: Design, deploy, and manage wired and wireless network infrastructure, leveraging Cisco networking technologies.
- Network Administration: Administer and configure routers, switches, and firewalls, including Palo Alto solutions.
- Network Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues using advanced diagnostic tools.
- Network Security: Implement and maintain robust network security measures, including access control, VPNs, and firewall policies.
- Network Performance Monitoring: Monitor network performance to ensure high reliability and availability.
- Network Enhancement: Collaborate with internal teams to plan and implement network enhancements and upgrades.
- Network Documentation: Maintain comprehensive network documentation, including topology diagrams and configurations.
- Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with vendors for network-related installations, maintenance, and procurement.
- Data Center Support: Support data center operations and disaster recovery plans related to network infrastructure.
- Technical Expertise: Stay updated on networking trends and apply best practices to improve the network environment.
- Escalation Point: Serves as the escalation point for complex networking issues.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in network design, administration, and troubleshooting. OR Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field with at least 10 years of hands-on experience in network design, administration, and troubleshooting.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with network management tools, firewalls, and protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, BGP, OSPF).
- Strong knowledge of network security best practices.
- Expertise in wireless networking and wireless security technologies.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with OS/NOS/IOS/NX-OS.
- Experience in Network Operations Centers (NOC) or high-volume call centers.
- Background in enterprise or carrier-class data center environments.
- Advanced expertise with Cisco routers, switches, and Palo Alto firewalls.
- CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent certification (required within six months if not already held).
